Vista di Plinio is a newly restored cielo terra (sky-to-earth) portion of a traditional Tuscan farmhouse, located in a beautiful and peaceful setting just outside the medieval walls of Anghiari. This apartment provides a cozy getaway for a couple or party of three adults, and is fitted with all of the desirable modern amenities while maintaining the character and original features it was born with several hundred years ago. The remodel retained the original chestnut ceiling beams, stone fireplace and terra cotto floor and ceiling tiles.

The beautiful rural setting is peaceful and perfect for anyone wanting to relax in the Tuscan countryside, yet be within minutes of the area's full range of restaurants, shops and sightseeing. At Vista di Plinio, your home is a five minute walk from the historic centre of the village, with its weekly (Wednesday morning) produce, meat and clothing market and excellent shops and restaurants available throughout the year.



The apartment has a private off-road parking space, and two entrances—one in the lower bedroom (allowing it to be used as a private entrance, if desired) and the primary entrance from the terrace into the main-floor kitchen and living area. It has been designed for enjoyment by adults, and because of its quiet and beautiful location, it is particularly appropriate for couples, honeymooners, artists, writers, those on sabbatical, and parties of three (You can bring your mother-in-law—or not!). A dining terrace and small garden area is located just outside the main entry door. Table and chairs are available for al fresco meals, and the area can be lit at night. A variety of fragrant culinary herbs are available from the garden throughout the growing season.



Italian culinary classes and one-time in-home meals can be arranged in advance with your host, a former California wine-country restaurateur, or with one of our tradition-based Tuscan housewives (casalinga, the real thing!). Shopping at our local vendors for wine, cheeses, and olive oil can also be booked directly with the artisans. A book with events, (highly-biased) suggestions, guest comments/recommendations, and local information is maintained in the house for your use.



Vista di Plinio consists of a kitchen/living area, double and single bedrooms, two bathrooms, and exterior terrace. The three floors are connected by an artisan-made iron and chestnut circular staircase, and because it is open, this apartment is not suitable for toddlers or small children. It sleeps 3 adults, and rents for €600 per week (Saturday-Saturday) during season, plus a refundable security deposit of €100. It is a non-smoking apartment, and pets are not accepted.

Additional amenities: CD radio/stereo, small music library, hairdryer, washing machine/drying rack, book selection, dishwasher, massage shower, work by local artists, seasonal herbs and flowers, tourist guides and maps, guest book, Welcome basket. Use of a cell phone during your stay can be arranged for a small fee based on usage—if desired, request on booking form.
